03 — How Colors Work Together
Tonal / Monochrome
Wear different shades of the same color head to toe. Reads as intentional and visually slimming.
Dark Top / Light Bottom
Draws the eye upward, balances a wider lower half. Your most flattering pattern.
Warm + Neutral
Pair earthy warms (rust, camel, olive) with grey or white. Natural and relaxed.
Contrast Accent
One pop item (burgundy jacket, green cap) against a neutral outfit. Let one thing speak.
Analogous Earth
Colors that sit next to each other: brown, olive, tan. Harmonious and very wearable.
Cool Neutrals
Navy, slate, grey, white. Clean, versatile. Great for layered looks with denim.
04 — Combinations to Avoid For Your Build
Light Top + Light Bottom
All-white or all-beige head-to-toe removes contrast and can read as one wide block. Always break it up with a darker piece.
Slim Pants in Bold Colors
Tight bright pants (red, royal blue, yellow) on wide thighs draws maximum attention to that area. Keep bold colors in relaxed fits only.
Short Shorts + Bold Tee
Short shorts create a visual cut-off at the thigh. Longer, relaxed cuts elongate your leg line much more favorably.
Clashing Warm + Cool
Orange + purple, or red + green — unless you're going intentional streetwear, keep warm and cool tones from competing loudly.
05 — Styling Rules to Live By
01
One Statement Per FitGraphic tee OR bold jacket. Not both. Let one thing be the focal point and let everything else support it.
02
Cuff Wide PantsA single cuff above chunky sneakers breaks the leg line visually and shows off your shoes. Instant upgrade.
03
Tonal = ElongatingSame color family from top to bottom creates a single vertical line. Your most powerful silhouette tool.
04
Accessories MatterA chain, crossbody bag, or cap can transform a basic outfit into a look. Never underestimate them.
05
Dark Top Anchors YouA darker top draws the eye up and balances a wider lower half. Use this as your default formula.
06
Fit Over BrandA well-fitted unknown brand always beats an ill-fitted luxury piece. Get the proportions right first.
